This spring, the athletic aspirations of five Ward Melville High School seniors will not end, as these talented student-athletes have signed letters of intent with some of the top colleges and universities from across the country.

In addition to being afforded the opportunity to demonstrate their athletic abilities on the sports teams, these students were presented with scholarships, which will allow them to attend classes this fall.

"I congratulate all of our athletes on this outstanding accomplishment," said Don Webster, the Three Village director for health, physical education, recreation and athletics. "I am confident [they] will continue to make Ward Melville proud next fall."

The students are:

• Cameron Iallucci. He will attend Wagner College where he will play football. He is thinking about majoring in history or pre-law.

• Pat Day. He will attend West Point and play lacrosse.

• Chris Bozza. He will be a member of the Adelphi University baseball team. He is interested in business and sports medicine.

• Emilee Rahner. She will play field hockey at Adelphi University. She is thinking of majoring in elementary education.

• Kathryn Dircks. She will play volleyball at Loyola University. She is interested in business.
