Former sergeant charged with robbery
May 19, 2009 | 04:46 PM
Suffolk County Police have arrested a former New York City Police Department sergeant and charged him with robbing a Roslyn Savings Bank branch in Huntington Station today.

Officers allege that the defendant, Thomas Feeney, 47, of Smithtown, was carrying a loaded .38-caliber pistol in his waistband at the time of the incident.

Feeney retired from the NYPD on disability in 1994.

He is being held for arraignment tomorrow on a third-degree robbery charge.
