Brookhaven Fair returns with family fun

The Brookhaven Fair returns to the Bald Hill Amphitheater with fun, entertainment and thrills for the entire family weekends May 22 to June 7 and on Memorial Day, Monday, May 25.

The fair will include more than 100 spectacular rides, games, free entertainment including the Cirque d' Hollywood with a special Daredevil Show, Giraffic Park Adventure Menagerie, Hollywood Racing Pigs, and back once again The Magic and Illusion Show of Lance Gifford.

The fair welcomes back Cirque d' Hollywood with a Daredevil Show produced by Serge Coronas. This exciting and thrilling spectacle includes Giant Gyro Wheel performances by The Fearless Vincente, high-wire thrills with the Sensational Sanchez and the daring motorcycle Globe of Death riders. Cirque d' Hollywood includes flying aerial performers, Miss Stevana's Poodles of Paris, The Royal Friesian Horse Show and other performances. The Brookhaven Fair will feature 25 free crowd-pleasing shows each day.

Master magician and crowd favorite, Lance Gifford, returns to the fair with his spectacular illusions and interactive performances. His show features "metamorphosis," an act once performed by the late, great Harry Houdini, with disappearing animal tricks and audience participation.

Additional free attractions include the Giraffic Park Adventure Menagerie with exotic animals including a family of giraffes, a variety of monkeys, a kangaroo, Scottish bulls, African zebras, South American llamas and other creatures from the four corners of the globe.

The fair will be open on Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays May 22, 23, 24 and Memorial Day Monday, May 25; May 29, 30 and 31, and June 5, 6 and 7. Gates open at 5 pm on Fridays and noon on all other days. The fair closes at midnight. Spectacular fireworks shows will also take place. Visit the fair's website for schedule.
