POLICE REPORT Don't fence me in

May 21, 2009 | 11:46 AM A resident of Lincoln Place in Port Jefferson Station called at 2 pm May 5 to say she was upset over a situation involving her property line. According to the complainant her next door neighbor recently backed up his vehicle and inadvertently knocked down her old fence. The complainant adds that when the new fence was installed it was set two feet closer to her house on her property and her neighbor gained two extra feet due to the mishap.
Alleged stalker feels trapped A resident of Continental Drive in Port Jefferson Station called at 9 am May 1 to report a female subject filing false charges against him, specifically charging that the complainant is stalking her. The complainant states that he feels as if he is a "prisoner in his own house" and he told the police that he has no idea who the subject is and claims that they have never even met.
Car burglary
A complainant called at 10:30 am May 5 to report an unknown person had broken into his vehicle while it was parked at a location on Route 347 in Port Jefferson Station and stolen a file with personal information.
Cash caper The proprietor of a store on Route 112 in Terryville called at 10:45 am April 30 to report a theft of $500 cash from his location.
Ford tough A motorist called at 8:55 am May 11 to report being harassed by an unknown male subject driving a light tan Ford vehicle with New York registration. According to the complainant the subject was showing signs of road rage and began following her vehicle westbound on North Country Road in Port Jefferson and at one point got out of his car and punched the window of her vehicle.
Grand larceny A resident of Lincoln Avenue in Port Jefferson Station called at 5 am May 11 to report that sometime over the previous night an unknown person had smashed the window of her vehicle and stolen numerous items from the interior.
Computer swiped The manager of an office supply store on Nesconset Highway in Port Jefferson Station called at 7:39 pm May 13 to report an unknown subject had stolen a computer from his store.
Jewelry heist A resident of Westview Avenue in Port Jefferson called at 4:30 pm May 16 to report that miscellaneous pieces of jewelry had been stolen from her house during the previous week. The complainant stated the thief was possibly a repairman who had recently been in her home.
Midnight auto supply A resident of Superior Street in Port Jefferson Station called at 3:15 am May 12 to report an unknown person had stolen two tires from his automobile parked in front of his house sometime after midnight.
Gas thief The manager of a hardware store on Nesconset Highway in Port Jefferson Station called at 5:45 pm May 12 to report an unknown white male had entered his store and grabbed two bottles of propane before fleeing the store and departing the parking lot in a green vehicle.
