Solar and wind energy seminar
June 17, 2009 | 10:57 AM
The second annual free Solar and Wind Energy Seminar, sponsored by LIPA and the Town of Brookhaven, will be held on Thursday, June 25 at 7 pm in the Town Hall Auditorium, 1 Independence Hill, Farmingville.

At the seminar, Brookhaven residents will learn how to join the thousands of Long Islanders who are doing their part to create a greener, cleaner Long Island by harnessing the power of the sun and the wind, to reduce their energy costs and help safeguard our planet. LIPA cash rebates and additional federal and state tax credits, where applicable, make purchasing a clean, renewable solar or backyard wind energy system more affordable than ever before.

By using solar and wind energy, and energy efficient technologies, in your home, Brookhaven residents can help protect the environment; reduce consumption of fossil fuels; lower monthly energy bills; and save money in the long term by "buying your electricity up front" for the next 25+ years.
