POLICE REPORT Something's missing

June 18, 2009 | 02:20 PM A resident of North Country Road in Shoreham called at 8:30 am June 1 to report his home had been burglarized sometime over the past two days. The complainant told the police that he was not certain what was taken by the unknown intruders.
Criminal mischief A resident of North Country Road in East Shoreham called at 5 am June 2 to report a string of mailboxes on his block had been knocked over by unknown means sometime last night.
Car burglary
A resident of Soundway Drive in Rocky Point called at 5 am June 10 to report an unknown person overnight had broken the window of her vehicle and stolen the GPS system and E-ZPass from the interior of the automobile.
Property damage A resident of Carroll Court in Rocky Point called at 3 pm June 8 to report that someone was damaging his property. The police arrived and arrested a male subject in connection with the incident and charged him with criminal mischief.
Vandals along Southold Road A resident of Southold Road in Sound Beach called at 6:40 am June 7 to report that unknown persons damaged his vehicle sometime over the previous night.
Two residents of Southold Road in Sound Beach called at 6:40 am June 7 to report three vehicles in front of their home had been vandalized by unknown persons sometime over the previous night.
Dud An official at Rocky Point High School called at 11:10 am June 1 to report she had discovered the word "Bomb" written on the basement stairwell.
Convenient Caddy A male complainant called at 4:15 am June 5 to report that his Cadillac had just been stolen from a parking lot in front of a convenience store on Route 25A in Miller Place. The complainant stated the thief drove his car eastbound on Route 25A.
Grand larceny A resident of Glenwood Avenue in Miller Place called at 9 am June 3 to report over $1,000 of fishing equipment stolen from his backyard by unknown persons. The complainant stated that the incident must have taken place sometime after 2 am.
Tackle taken A resident of Olive Street in Rocky Point called at 8 am June 6 to report that upon checking on the condition of his trailer, which had been kept in his backyard driveway over the winter, he discovered unknown persons had entered the vehicle and stolen all the surf fishing equipment stored inside. The complainant stated the theft must have taken place sometime after November 1 of last year when the surf fishing season ended.
Criminal mischief A resident of Broadway in Rocky Point called at 4 am June 1 to report a male subject had just damaged his vehicle parked in front of his house by throwing objects at the car. Another witness stated the subject was sitting in the driver's seat of his vehicle and was throwing something at the complainant's automobile. Police arrived and arrested a male defendant residing in Rocky Point and charged him with criminal mischief.
Assault with beer bottle A resident of Briarcliff Road in Shoreham called at 3:30 am June 9 to report an argument with a male subject who assaulted the complainant with a beer bottle. Police arrived and after an investigation arrested a male defendant from Rocky Point and charged him with assault. The police reported the complainant had suffered a head laceration in the attack.
Menacing Police reported on June 6 that they arrested a male defendant living in Miller Place and charged him with menacing at a location on North Country Road in Miller Place.
