Corn Festival Pow Wow
The Setalcott Nation and Bethel AME Church in Setauket will present the annual festival and pow wow on Saturday, July 11, from 11 am to 6 pm and Sunday, July 12, from noon to 6 pm on the grounds of the Setauket Elementary School on Main Street. Grand entry at noon both days. Traditional dancing, singing, story telling, Native American crafts and food. The Salina Family Aztec Dancers from Mexico will perform. Great American bake sale
Sponsored by Share Our Strength and hosted by locals, 100 percent of proceeds will be used to benefit hungry children on Long Island. The event will be Sunday, July 12, at 11 am on the corner of Route 25A and August Street in East Setauket. We are accepting donations as well as donated baked goods. European car show
The 5th annual Vintage European Sports Car and Motorcycle Display will be at the Stony Brook Community Church, 216 Christian Ave., from noon to 4 pm on Saturday, July 11 (rain date, July 12). All European sports cars, racing cars and motorcycles produced prior to 1975 are welcome. Each participant is asked to provide a $15 donation to the church. The community is invited for free. Display vehicles should at 11 am; registration on site. Live music and refreshments. After the event a rally will proceed through Stony Brook and Head of the Harbor into Smithtown. Learn all about bee keeping
A series of educational and cultural programs will be held this summer at the Setauket Mill Pond. You can learn about bee keeping at 1 pm on July 14. Registration is required although walk-ins will be welcomed if we have space. Contact the Frank Melville Memorial Foundation at 689-6146.
