July 27, 2009 | 04:05 PM
Police have charged a Patchogue man with second-degree felony assault in connection with the stabbing of a Port Jefferson Station security guard at the Live at Five festival on Friday.

Officers allege that at about 9:05 pm, Dylan Bryan, 17, of West Avenue, Patchogue, shoved and fought with security guards hired by the Village of Patchogue to check IDs for age, maintain order and discourage open alcoholic beverage on Main Street. Bryan was stopped at a checkpoint at 116 East Main Street, where police allege he stabbed PSA Security employee Robert Martinez, 38, in the leg.

Thereafter, Bryan was subdued by several security personnel, who held him for police.

Martinez was treated at Brookhaven Memorial Hospital and released.
