August 19, 2009 | 02:27 PM Reports that cross our desks of break-ins whereby pocketbooks, wallets, cell phones, iPods and the like are stolen from parked cars remind us to remind you: Lock up, and take valuable belongings with you when you leave your vehicles, whether for five minutes or for the evening.
It doesn't matter where you live or where you park. Our police blotters (page A4) are replete with proof that streets and parking lots are prime targets and homeowners' driveways are not safe harbors.
