East Northport Festival next weekend

The East Northport Chamber of Commerce's annual festival will take place on Friday, Saturday and Sunday Sept. 11 to 13 at John Walsh Park, corner of Pulaski and Larkfield roads and north of Larkfield to Brightside Avenue.

The festival offers residents and members of surrounding communities an opportunity to come out and meet their neighbors, see old friends and get to know East Northport. The annual festival features magic shows, sidewalk sales, exhibits, craft vendors, food, a petting zoo, bicycle stunt shows, amusement rides and games, live entertainment, street performers and much more.

In the 2009 food court, expect find the Crossroads Café, Nocello's Restaurant, Northport Fish and Lobster, Chilly Willies, Fresco's Famous Italian Ices, roasted sweet corn, Tropical Smoothie Café, Mr. Softee and Big Bear Pizzelli.

This year there will be a three-on-three basketball tournament sponsored by Snap Fitness. The finals will be held at the festival on Saturday, Sept. 12.

The exhibit is sponsored by Rockabilly Barbers (locations in East Northport, Huntington and West Islip), Bank of Smithtown, Raymond A. Mascolo (general, cosmetic and reconstructive dentistry), Stuart P. Besen (Town of Huntington Councilman), Panera Bread, Newton Shows, East Northport Snap Fitness Center, American Community Bank, TD Bank, The Lark Pub and Grill (East Northport), Hux Plumbing and Heating and Larkfield Manor Catering. The Times of Northport-East Northport and the Times of Huntington are the media sponsors.

The festival will be held on Friday from 6 to 11 pm, Saturday from 11 am to 11 pm and Sunday from 11 am to 6 pm.

Southbound, 1 to 5 pm
Distant Twins, 5 to 7:30 pm
Soul Be It, 7:30 to 10:45 pm

The Liverpool Shuffle, 3 to 6 pm
