Free seminars for seniors

Free educational seminars related to senior life planning are being offered as part of Senior Citizen Law Day on Saturday, Oct. 17 at the Stony Brook University Student Activities Center from 9 am to 3 pm.

Presenting the event are Assemblyman Steve Englebright, the Long Island State Veterans Home and the Suffolk County Bar Association.

Throughout the day, elder law attorneys, finance and health care professionals will provide objective and reliable information sessions on important topics such as Identity Theft, Wills and Trusts, Estate Planning, Selecting a Nursing Home, Long-term Care Insurance, Reverse Mortgages, Elder Consumer Fraud Protection, Advance Directives and more.

Sponsors of the event include the Long Island State Veterans Home, Nesconset Center for Nursing & Rehabilitation, Moloney Family Funeral Homes, Premier Home Health Care Service, Inc., Wells Fargo, and Astoria Federal.
