Cops: Bus driver charged after student alleges he kissed her
December 01, 2009 | 04:22 PM
Police today arrested a bus driver from East Northport, alleging that he kissed a middle school student he was driving home from school.

Michael Dibella, an employee of Huntington Coach Corporation, was driving middle school students home from the Elwood School District on Nov. 19. A police report claims that, with just one 11-year-old female student remaining on the bus, Dibella stopped the bus a short distance from the student's home and turned off the ignition. He sat next to the student, grabbed her face and kissed her on the lips multiple times. He then drove the student home and the student told her mother, who called police.

Dibella, 73, of East Northport, surrendered at the Second Precinct on Dec. 1 and Second Precinct Crime Section officers charged him with endangering the welfare of a child. He will be arraigned today at First District Court in Central Islip.

The Second Precinct Crime Section is asking anyone with information regarding this incident or who may have had a similar experience to call 854-8226.
