The Centereach wrestling team competed at home against Half Hollow Hills East Jan. 29 in their last regular season match. Although the team struggled this season, not being able to grab a league win, the Cougars still had individual achievements.

Senior Luc Noens at 112 pounds won on Jan. 27 against West Babylon and again two days later against Half Hollow Hills East when he pinned his opponent, bottom left. Noens wrestled up to 119 pounds Friday. Last weekend, at the Bob Armstrong tourney in Port Jefferson, Noens took second place.

Matt Seidel, at left, also had a victory over his Half Hollow Hills East opponent in the 152-pound weight class.

Anthony Parrotta, who competed in the 103-pound weight class, beat his opponent from Hills East, top left. Those three wins and two forfeits were not enough to get a team victory.
