BOE
December 23, 2009 | 01:11 PM "You are SOOO right! This BOE is an embarrassment to the PJ community. No community involvement on committees, limited speaking time at BOE meetings, questions go unanswered or get the "We're looking into that " treatment and yet WE are all paying an outrageous amount of money for a "Communications Consultant" (who flys in from the West Coast at our expense) to help the BOE with .....are you ready? COMMUNITY ENGAGEMENT !!!!!"
Why is the school board allowing this? Are they scared of Riley?
NONE of this helps the students AND it is expensive. I went to the meeting for the 4th and fifth grade parents and one parent spoke about extra help. Want to help the kids? GET THE TEACHERS IN THE ES TO OFFER EXTRA HELP TO KIDS WHO NEED IT!! As pointed out that evening, even if a kid misses a math lesson for band- they can't get help from their teacher! This is disgusting!!! I was told this is in their contract. Is that true? Who the heck approved that one?
