There are many issues that are a bit askew in your blog, but I'll just respond to the one above:

*the BOE and Super may be doing what is within the bounds of the contract, but that certainly does not mean that their actions are educationally sound or practical or, get this...financially feasible. The Union has no control over these issues. And get this: IF the union could have some input into these issues, there would actually be a cost savings to the district. Why is it that no one wants to discuss the various ways the district wastes money, but they are only too eager to claim that teachers make too much? While you're focused on teacher salaries, the waste stream is flowing freely under your feet. YOU elected the BOE, now YOU'RE stuck with them.
