What does Times Beacon Record Newspapers publish?
Our award-winning newspaper company prints seven community weeklies every Thursday in addition to various seasonal supplements, including Beautiful Babies, Focus on Health, Hark the Herald, Homes, Time for Giving and more. Our coverage area includes the entire north shore of Suffolk County, from Cold Spring Harbor to the west and Wading River to the east.
What are your business hours?
We are typically open for business from 9 am to 5 pm Monday through Friday. After hours, you are welcome to call (631) 751-7744 and leave your name and phone number for the person you are trying to reach. You may also email us. Please consult About Us/Contacts.
Where are your offices?
• Our main office is at 185 Route 25A, Setauket, across from the Setauket Firehouse. Parking is behind our office. You will need to turn north onto Main Street and east onto Bruce Street to access our parking lot. 751-7744

How do I subscribe to the paper and what are your rates?
Subscribe to the newspaper for $39 for a year; $69 for two years or $99 for three years. You may place an order by phone during business hours or by credit card on this website under About Us/Subscribe.
May we link your content to our website?
Yes, please spread the word about our content! But remember to give credit where credit is due: attribute to Times Beacon Record Newspapers as well as the author or photographer.
May we reprint your article/photo or parts of it?
Please call an editor to request permission at 751-7744.
How can we get a photo reprint?
We do not reprint photos. However, reprints may be requested of freelance photographers. Please inquire at news@tbrnewspapers.com and we will pass it along to the appropriate person, who may contact you at his or her discretion.
How can we get a previous edition of the paper?
• Print. Our supply of papers in limited, and may be available in print form for the current and previous week’s issues only. We do not have printed papers for distribution or sale older than two editions. So as not to miss an issue, consider subscribing to the paper or checking the newsstands every Thursday.
• Digital. Archived digital versions of our papers and special supplements are available here. They may be purchased and downloaded in PDF form for $1 each. A valid credit card payment through PayPal is required. Just click on the publication and date you wish to buy and follow our links. Opening PDFs on your computer requires Adobe Acrobat Reader, which may be downloaded for free at http://get.adobe.com/reader/.
• Copies. For a photo copy of a story in a previous edition of the paper, please consult your public library’s archives.
Can we access any old content for free?
Anyone can access freestanding online content through the “Search the Site" box at the top right corner of each web page at www.northshoreoflongisland.com. Enter a few key words for the item’s content or author, then sift through the results.
How do I place an advertisement and what are your rates/deadlines?

How can I reach a reporter/editor?
If you do not know the extension of the person you’re trying to reach, please search About Us/Contacts or call 751-7744 and ask for the news room or email news@tbrnewspapers.com
How should I submit a calendar item?
Our free calendar listings are for nonprofit, nonpartisan and nonsectarian events only and should be submitted to leisure@tbrnewspapers.com by Wednesday at least one week prior to the intended publication date, and preferably three weeks before intended publication.
How should I submit a people item or obituary?
Please email all people items and obituaries to our People page editor at vtimes@tbrnewspapers.com
Why hasn’t the item I submitted appeared in the paper yet?
Unsolicited items that fit our editorial needs are printed on a space-available basis and at the discretion of the editor and publisher. Due to the nature of the business, we do not guarantee publication dates.
