Donato Morganelli Died: Thursday, October 29, 2009
Donato E. Morganelli of Stony Brook, formerly of East Northport, died on Oct. 29. He was born on July 10, 1925, in Brooklyn, the son of Pasquale and Louisa De Esso Morganelli. He was a veteran of World War II, serving in the U.S. Navy as a motor machinist's mate, second class, from 1943 to 1945. He was later a watchmaker for Regency Creations in Greenvale.
Mr. Morganelli is survived by his wife, Anne C. Morganelli of Stony Brook; his daughters, Louise (John Wagner) Morganelli, Marie (Richard) Kennedy and Anne (Kevin) Ford; his sons, Daniel (Catherine) Morganelli, Joseph (Lynne) Morganelli and Michael (Sherry) Morganelli; 12 grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; his brother, Albert Morganelli; and his sisters, Connie Nani and Jeanne Koehne.
The funeral was held on Nov. 2 at Sts. Philip and James Roman Catholic Church in St. James, followed by interment at Calverton National Cemetery.
