Age: 47
Susan M. Baust, 47 years old of Manorville, died on Dec. 12. She was born on June 10, 1962 in Port Jefferson, the daughter of Robert J. and the late Elizabeth Baust.
She was a lieutenant with the Suffolk County Sheriff's Department as correction officer for over 20 years in Riverhead. She was a member of the National Hot Rod Association, the National Rifle Association and the American Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals.
Mrs. Baust is survived by her husband, Brian Eustace; her daughter, Alexandra Steele; her stepson, Kevin Eustace; her brother, Robert Baust Jr.; her nephew, Jesse Baust; her niece, Morgan Baust and her father, Robert Baust Sr. She was preceded in death by her mother, Elizabeth Baust.
A funeral service was held on Dec. 15 with the Rev. Mickey Bancroft officiating. Interment followed at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery in Coram.
