WMHS team wins tech prize

Ward Melville High School was the recipient of another honor last Friday, March 5, when the fifth annual Chase Multimedia in the Classroom awards were presented to 10 tristate high schools for technology projects "showing how they can use technology to creatively enhance their learning experiences," according to a WNET announcement.

Drug-sniffing dogs prowl WM high school

A "modified lockdown" was ordered Tuesday morning at Ward Melville High School as two teams of drug-sniffing dogs and their handlers arrived to canvass the building, according to Assistant Principal Mike Owen.
