Port Jefferson Station bank robbed

An HSBC Bank branch in Jefferson Shopping Plaza, at 574 Route 112, was robbed today. Police describe the suspect as a white man in his 30s, approximately 5-foot-7 to 5-foot-8 with a medium build and acne on his face.

Setauket man dies in Main Street crash

The well-known and well-liked proprietor of Via Pizza on Route 25A in East Setauket died early Saturday morning when he lost control of his car just north of the Emma Clark Library and crashed.
