POLICE REPORTNovember 27, 2009 | 01:08 PMA male complainant called at 3:44 pm Nov. 8 to report hiking along a trail in the woods adjacent to Route 25A in Wading River when he came across a "huge python snake" crawling on the path. The complainant told the police he was leaving the forest and would be waiting for arriving officers in a nearby parking lot. Police responded to the scene and checked the woods in search of the substantial serpent but could not locate any evidence of a redoubtable reptile.
