A dog named DooganSeptember 10, 2009 | 10:50 AMIt all started with the blast of the ferry horn on Aug. 13 in Port Jefferson. Two dogs bolted. One was retrieved, the other disappeared. Connor Baird had to go home to Farmingville, heartbroken, and tell his mother he had lost her dog.
