Survivor: Life goes on but not the same

Sept. 11, 2001 started as a spectacularly bright and beautiful autumn day in New York. Robert Schumacker, then of East Northport, was on the 58th floor of the World Trade Center's south tower, working at his desk when the airplane crashed into the building.

Gallery North show draws thousands

The sun shone brightly — on Sunday at least — at this year's Gallery North Outdoor Art Show, the not-for-profit's 44th annual, where thousands of visitors enjoyed the art, the crafts, the food, the music and meeting old friends.

Gamecock gets 'plaqued'
