Lisa Marie Presley considers this to be a reference feature film about her father.
Studio Warner Bros. presented a fresh trailer for the large-scale biopic Elvis, which is dedicated to the life and musical career of the inimitable Elvis Presley. The film will have its world premiere in the coming days at the Cannes Film Festival.

The action of “Elvis” will cover twenty years – the film will show how from a talented but unknown young artist Elvis Presley (Austin Butler) turned into a world-class star. Particular attention in the film will be given to the complex relationship between the title character and his manager Tom Parker (Tom Hanks). Directed by Baz Luhrmann, Elvis will be the first feature-length project since The Great Gatsby (2013). Luhrmann co-wrote the script with Sam Bromell, Craig Pierce and Jeremy Doner.

Throughout his career, Elvis has sold over 500 million records, to this day remaining the most commercially successful solo artist in history. He also actively acted in films. Elvis died in 1977 at the age of 42.

In addition to Butler and Hanks, Elvis starred Olivia DeJong, Daker Montgomery, Helen Thompson, Cody Smith-McPhee, David Wenham, Luke Bracey, Richard Roxburgh, Xavier Samuel and others.
